The name "echo" comes from the Greek nymph Ηχώ from Greek mythology. According to Greek mythology Echo was an Oread who had the job of talking incessantly to Hera, the Queen of the Gods, so that her husband, Zeus, wouldn't get caught in his numerous affairs. Hera caught on to Echo's trick and cursed her to only be able to say what others had just said -- hence the word "echo". Yet according to Roman mythology it was Pan, who when Echo denied his love, tore her to shreds and scattered her about the Earth leaving bits of her everywhere for us to find, or rather for us to hear, forever.

None of that has much to do with the design, yet I've discovered that if you attempt to use mythological definitions in your work people tend to take you more seriously.
You crack me up - the mythelogical connection too funny. Actually the pic doesn't need the connection stands on its own, although it does look a tad like someone sitting at a bar gossiping. Nice vector art.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
